I woke up around 5:30 to change and make myself look somewhat presentable before heading to the Bedford office for my blood work. It was cold but lighter out than I've been used to in the morning, so that was nice. I drove listening to my Adele cd blasting it up and pretending that I'm just as good a singer as she. I was happy to see my usual nurse, Cathy, there. It's been a little while since I've seen her. I was in and out in no more than 10 minutes. I headed home wondering what would become of the blood she just took out of my arm.
Once home I snuggled up in bed with Jarod and Daisy. It's Jarod's birthday so we took advantage of sleeping in! We got up and had some breakfast and around 11 am we got a call. Usually they call my cell phone but they called the house and Jarod picked up. I was nervous when he didn't say much and then he handed the phone to me. The nurse had a cheery voice as she told me congrats- you're pregnant! The beta was 79. They like to see numbers around 50. OMG! We're pregnant! An instant smile came over my face and I could barely pay attention to what she was saying to me. All I knew was I was pregnant and I had to go back for a second blood test on Monday.
I hung up and Jarod and I hugged in tears. We couldn't believe this worked and we heard that one word we've been wanting to hear for so long: pregnant!
We went out to TGIFridays for lunch to celebrate and watch the Bruins. We had to drive to Manchester to pick up some more syringes because we have to continue my shots and we ran out. Later on that night we met up with friends and his brothers for pizza and bowling. It was so hard to not blurt out the amazing news we heard that morning!
Happy Birthday Daddy!
